By accessing or using the Site, requesting a free consultation, submitting plans or scope documents, or otherwise communicating with us through the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Knutson Custom Remodelers is a full-service design-build remodeling firm serving the Twin Cities metro area (Minneapolis and Saint Paul), Minnesota since 1983. We specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodeling, home additions, basements, custom cabinetry, decks, pergolas, and whole-home projects.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Site or request services. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

3. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Site in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right;
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on the Site;

4. Consultations, Estimates, and No Contract Formation Online

Submitting a consultation request, contact form, or project plans through the Site does not create a contract between you and Knutson Custom Remodelers. Any work, pricing, scope, schedule, materials, and warranty terms are governed solely by a separate written agreement, estimate, or contract signed by an authorized representative of Knutson Custom Remodelers. Until such a written agreement is executed, no obligation to perform work or hold pricing exists.

Estimates and design proposals are valid only for the time period stated on the document and are subject to revision based on changes in scope, site conditions, material availability, code requirements, or other factors.

5. Project Submissions and Confidentiality

When you submit plans, drawings, scope documents, photos, or other files through the Site (including via the “Attach file” feature), you represent and warrant that:

• You have the legal right to share those materials with us;
• Sharing the materials does not violate any third-party intellectual property, confidentiality, or contractual obligation;
• You grant Knutson Custom Remodelers a limited, non-exclusive license to use, copy, and distribute those materials internally and with project partners (architects, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, permitting authorities) solely for the purpose of estimating, designing, coordinating, and performing the remodeling work.

We treat submitted plans and project documents as confidential and use them only for the purposes described above and in our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, photos, project images, blog articles, FAQs, and the overall “look and feel” — is the property of Knutson Custom Remodelers or its licensors and is protected by United States and international intellectual property laws.

You may view and print pages from the Site for your personal, non-commercial use. Any other use, including reproduction, modification, distribution, public display, or use for commercial purposes, requires our prior written consent.

8. Licensing and Scope of Services

Knutson Custom Remodelers is licensed as a general contractor in the State of Minnesota. We perform only the scopes of work permitted under our licenses and applicable Minnesota building codes and regulations.

Listing services on the Site does not guarantee availability in every location, for every project type, or at any particular time. All projects are subject to scope review, scheduling, and capacity confirmation.

9. Warranty

Completed projects are backed by Minnesota’s standard 2-year workmanship warranty, applicable to labor and craftsmanship. The specific terms, scope, exclusions, and procedures for warranty claims are governed by the written contract for the applicable project and by applicable Minnesota law.

Except for the warranty described above and any warranties expressly provided in a signed written contract, Knutson Custom Remodelers makes no other warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Disclaimers

The Site and all content on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Knutson Custom Remodelers disclaims all warranties relating to the Site, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any defects will be corrected. Your use of the Site is at your sole risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

This Section does not apply to or limit liability under any signed construction contract between you and Knutson Custom Remodelers, which is governed by its own terms.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Knutson Custom Remodelers, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way related to:

• Your violation of these Terms;
• Your violation of any applicable law or third-party right;
• Any content, plans, files, or information you submit through the Site.

13. Third-Party Links and Materials

18. Arbitration of Construction Disputes

Disputes arising out of a signed construction contract between you and Knutson Custom Remodelers are governed by the dispute-resolution terms of that contract and by applicable Minnesota law. Nothing in these Terms limits your right to pursue legal remedies regarding licensed contractor work in accordance with Minnesota law.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any signed written contract for services, constitute the entire agreement between you and Knutson Custom Remodelers regarding your use of the Site, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings regarding that subject matter.

21. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision or any other provision. A waiver is effective only if it is in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Knutson Custom Remodelers.

22. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.
